Second Life Land Owners and Their Weird Power Trips LOL!
Hey guys!
I'm a big fan of Virtual Fishing and if there are multiplier events then you might find me there fishing. You might even see me livestreaming my avatar Virtual Fishing in Youtube, Rumble, Kick and Trovo. Recently, there was this big multiplier event happening and I would go there, fish, get some lindens, say thank you and leave. I don't remember causing any problems.
I'm not sure what happened but the event was changed to only allow avatars or accounts that matched the following criteria: POF / AV 4mths / Parcel Cap 20 / Script & AFK Limits
I have Payment Info and my Avatar or account is 19 years old. I'm pretty sure my scripts were low since I removed both my Celestial Butterfly HUD and Lunar Butterfly Net and I'm also not AFK.
The first time I was there, I got sent home because of this weird rule about logging out from the location. Seriously, logging out from your last location in Second Life is like one of the most COMMON thing everyone does in-world. Unfortunately, the land owner considered that as cheating. In my 19 years in Second Life, it was my first time learning that logging out from your last location was a form of cheating. WTF!
I guess, we do learn something new everyday. LOL!
So, I moved on to another location. I found my spot, fished and got some Lindens. After that, I went back to the previous location. I got in, found a spot and started fishing. I don't even remember bumping anyone and if I did then I did not see them or heard any bumping sounds. I thought, all was good.
To my surprise, I was ejected, maybe, two minutes later. Usually, when you're ejected from a land, the system would have some information as to why you were ejected like maybe having too many scripts running or something similar. In this case, there was nothing and I'm not the type of person who would go ask the land owner WHY I was ejected but I would definitely post a blog about it. LOL!
I do understand that Land Owners in Second Life can do whatever they want on their land. I just find the Power Tripping weird sometimes. LOL!
It's like politicians or government officials in Real Life. They'd get some kind of power or authority only to abuse it to lord over others. In Second Life, it's worse because Land Owners have absolute and total control over their lands. Which again, I do understand. I just find it weird when it doesn't make sense to me, specially when, in my opinion, no rules were violated.
Well, at least, as far as I know. Maybe the land owner just don't like Captain America or America itself which, according to current news from the US, is not a new thing. LOL! I wouldn't really know, I'm just guessing.
Anyway, that's it for this post and if you guys want to read more about my experiences in Second Life or any other games I play then subscribe or bookmark this humble blog of mine.
