GTA 5 Online FiveM Liberty 99 – My First Time in a Server That Felt Empty
Hey guys,
I recently spent about an hour playing GTA 5 Online through FiveM, trying out a server called Liberty 99 for the very first time, and honestly, it was a pretty strange experience.
After jumping in, the first thing I did was create my character and customize how they looked. Nothing too crazy, just enough to feel somewhat connected to the game world. My plan going in was super simple: just explore, take it easy, and avoid interacting with other players as much as possible. I wanted a chill session with no pressure.
But things didn’t stay chill for long.
While casually walking around and checking out the environment, I suddenly got run over by a car. Not just once either, the driver made sure my character was completely out by running me over multiple times. That was... unexpected. 😅
At the same time, I kept noticing messages popping up about players getting banned from the server. It made the whole place feel a bit chaotic behind the scenes, even though the world itself felt empty.
Speaking of empty, one of the biggest things I noticed was that there were no NPCs at all. The city looked alive visually, but it felt completely lifeless. No pedestrians, no normal traffic, just players here and there.
I eventually found a place on the map called “Legitimate Jobs,” which turned out to be a bus station. I assumed it meant I could try a bus driving job. It took a bit of figuring out, but I eventually managed to get a bus and drive it around for a few blocks. The problem? No passengers. So I just left it and moved on.
After exploring more and not really finding anything engaging to do, I decided to exit the server. It just felt empty and, honestly, a bit lonely.
That was my first experience in Liberty 99. Maybe it gets better with more interaction, but as a solo explorer, it didn’t quite click for me.
