I Tried an 8-Hour Butterfly Hunt in Second Life... and Fell Asleep đŸ˜‚
Hey guys,
So I recently tried something a little ambitious, and honestly, a little crazy too. I started an 8-hour Celestial Butterfly livestream in Second Life with one simple goal: see how many Linden Dollars I could earn just by hunting butterflies.
Sounds easy, right?
Well... not exactly.
At first, everything was going great. I was focused, clicking away, chasing butterflies, and thinking, "Hey, I can totally do this for 8 hours!" The idea wasn’t really about difficulty. Hunting butterflies in Second Life isn’t super hard, it’s actually pretty chill and relaxing.
But that’s where things got tricky.
Because while the butterfly hunting itself wasn’t the challenge... staying awake for 8 hours definitely was. đŸ˜‚
Somewhere along the way, my "chill grinding session" turned into an accidental sleep stream. Yep, I fell asleep. And not just for a quick nap, I was out for most of the 8 hours!
So technically... I failed the challenge.
Not because I couldn’t hunt butterflies, but because I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Lesson learned: long, relaxing grinds + comfy setup = unexpected sleep combo.
Still, I think the whole experience was fun in its own way. It wasn’t the result I was aiming for, but it definitely made for a funny and relatable moment. I mean, who hasn’t tried to push through something and ended up dozing off instead?
Would I try this challenge again?
Honestly... yeah, I might. Maybe next time I’ll come prepared with more energy, maybe some coffee, and definitely a better plan to stay awake. Or maybe I’ll just keep it shorter, who knows!
Either way, it was a fun experiment, and sometimes failing is part of the fun too.
