Buying Cheap Virtual Fishing Bait Means Having an Alt Farm

Hey guys!

It looked like the cheap bait drama around Virtual Fishing in Second Life is still happening. When I checked the Virtual Fishing group chat while I was half asleep fishing at an x2 Fish Hunt multiplier event, someone was still complaining about cheap bait. Why? I have no freaking idea. As far as I know as a Virtual Fishing fisher, having cheap Virtual Fishing baits to buy benefits me and other Virtual Fishing fishers.

Honestly, I think it's a good thing. Virtual Fishing fishers get to save a few Linden Dollars that they can then use to buy "sacks of rice" to feed their families in Real Life (that was based on a post in VF's group chat). So yeah, some members of the Virtual Fishing group are just full blown racists.

I'm not sure if I understood the complaint correctly but it sounded like buying cheap Virtual Fishing bait was bad. Somehow, if you buy cheap bait you have an alt farm or something. I could see how someone with a lot of alts could have benefited from cheap Virtual Fishing bait but it wasn't just limited to those with a lot of alts. Even those with no alt farms or even zero alts benefited from it.

Buying Cheap Bait Means Having an Alt Farm

Maybe I was just understanding it wrong but still, does it even matter. I don't really see any problem if an Avatar or Avatars wanted to sell their Virtual Fishing baits at a lost. Maybe they like losing money and, eventually, their supplies will ran out. When that happens, the price of Virtual Fishing baits will obviously return to normal.

Anyway, if you are buying cheap Virtual Fishing baits then keep buying them even if you are accused of having an alt farm. True or not, just ignore it. Remember, always do what's best for you and your avatar regardless of what other avatars say because at the end of the day, it's your Second Life experience that's important and not theirs.

As long as you're not breaking or abusing Second Life's Community Guidelines then do what you want. Enjoy and have fun because that's what Second Life is all about. If other avatars are making you uncomfortable then simply Block or Mute them, problem solved.
