Astro Colony, Running Out Of Oxygen Is Fatal. Mine, Craft and Build in Space!

Hey guys!

I recently claimed a game in Keymailer. What's the name of the game? It's Astro Colony. A crafting building open world survival game set in outer space. Yeah! Not on Earth but out there in Space and, based on the video in Keymailer, it looked really interesting.

So, I got the Steam Key for Astro Colony from Keymailer and used it to claim the game in Steam. Nice! After that, I downloaded, installed and played the game. Of course, I also live streamed my gameplay of Astro Colony on my Youtube, Kick, Trovo and Rumble channels. I'm required to make content for it. That was part of the agreement.

Surprisingly, Astro Colony run well on my PC. Well, after lowering the graphics settings. Still, the game looked good even in low graphics settings. I think my PC could run the game at a higher graphics setting but I chose performance over graphics fidelity. Low graphics, smoother gameplay. Right?

In the game, I did struggle a bit. I didn't understand how things worked and the helper bot wasn't doing a good job in explaining things. I had problems reading some of the text. Why? Well, the text were too small. I didn't want to wear my glasses but I had no choice. If only the text were bigger.

I did die though. I couldn't figure out how to place the Oxygen Refiller and it resulted to my character's first death in Astro Colony. Dying wasn't a big problem. My character revived almost immediately. I skipped the Oxygen Refiller and went out in space to mine for resources.

Asteroids. Small spherical rocks that contained resources like iron, copper, water and others floated all over the place. I flew to one asteroid and started mining. Mining wasn't difficult to do. I just got close to an asteroid and kept clicking on it. Once depleted, the asteroid broke apart.

Eventually, I was able to put down the device that made oxygen. Great! Death from lack of oxygen prevented. Although, I'm not sure if death had any penalties. I hope not. That would suck. Big!

I spent the rest of hour mining, crafting and building. It was a lot of fun. I did get stuck again buy, this time, I couldn't figure out how to generate power from the device. I just skipped it and did other things. After a while, I went back. I figured out how to activate the device. It took me a while but, the important thing was, the device activated and generated power.

While mining in space, I did find something weird, though. Grass. There were small pieces of land called planetoids and on them were grass. How could grass survive in space? I\m pretty sure those tiny planetoids don't have an atmosphere. Realism just went to trash. I guess, Astro Colony was never after realism anyway.

Astro Colony! Did I enjoy playing the game for an hour? Yes! I enjoyed it very much. Gathering or mining resources, in any game, has that soothing and relaxing effect on me. Many would find it boring. I don't. Mostly.

If you're interested in Astro Colony then you'll find the game listed in Steam. It's not free. It's also not very expensive and it might even run on your PC. If you're a content creator. You might get the game for free from Keymailer.

I guess, that's it for this post and if you read the entire thing, thank you.
