Watching Asmongold Play I Am Jesus Christ (Live Reaction & Thoughts)

In my recent livestream, I tried something a bit different. I watched and reacted to a full playthrough by Asmongold of the game I Am Jesus Christ. The video was over four hours long, and instead of just watching it quietly, I decided to turn it into a live watch party with my own commentary and reactions.

Right away, one thing became clear—this game is not really an RPG. Even though it has some open world elements, it feels more like an interactive story. There are no stats to manage, no health bars, no mana, and no stamina systems to worry about. The gameplay is very relaxed, and even the puzzles are simple. If you make a mistake, you can just try again without any penalties, which keeps things stress-free.

What really stood out to me was how the storytelling was presented. It honestly felt like a story brought to life in game form rather than a traditional gameplay-focused experience. Because of that, I found myself more engaged in what was happening rather than thinking about mechanics or difficulty.

If I had to rate the game based purely on watching it, I’d probably give the gameplay around a 5 or 6 out of 10. It’s simple and not very challenging. However, the story itself? That’s easily a 10 out of 10 for me. It carried the entire experience and made it worth watching from start to finish.

Even though the stream was long, I didn’t feel bored or sleepy at all. The pacing, combined with reacting live, kept things interesting the whole time. It also helped that someone joined the stream and stayed active in the chat, which made the experience feel more interactive and fun.

Overall, it turned out to be a really chill and enjoyable livestream. It’s not the kind of game you watch for intense gameplay, but if you’re into storytelling, it definitely has something to offer.
