Ragnarok Online 2 SEA, Closing Soon, Server Shutdown Iminent
Ragnarok Online 2 SEA is closing soon. The publisher of Ragnarok Online 2 SEA, Asiasoft, published a notice about it in the game's official website. The game's server shutdown will happen on October 9, 2014.
Ragnarok Online 2 SEA was launched by Asiasoft less than two years ago and it was a massive success. The first few days were packed with new players that it made the starting area almost unplayable. I should know because I was one of those players back then. LOL!
Unfortunately, the number of players playing went down, down, down. The starting area became a Ghost Town with almost no new players coming in.
Yes, the game still has some loyal and somewhat active players but they were not enough to keep the game alive. After all, it's a business and a business that's not making money is not a business but a charity. Obviously, Asiasoft is not running a charity but a business.
The good news is, those of you who wants to continue playing Ragnarok Online 2 can do so by transferring to WarpPortal.
WarpPortal is the North American publisher of Ragnarok Online 2 and it will open its Odin Server to all SEA or Southeast Asian players on October 11, 2014. If you are a Ragnarok Online 2 SEA player who wish to continue playing then you can transfer your account to WarpPortal now.
Just check your e-mail because Asiasoft sent a transfer token on September 11, 2014 to all affected Ragnarok Online 2 SEA players. This token or code is important because you will need it to transfer your Ragnarok Online 2 SEA account to WarpPortal.
Again, the token was e-mailed by Asiasoft. If you didn't see it in your inbox then try checking your trash and spam folders.
