Trapped on Newbie Island?! My Project Gorgon Escape Attempt Goes Wrong
Hey guys,
Welcome back to my Project Gorgon adventure! In my previous gameplay, I spent time fighting skeletons all over what I’ve been calling “Newbie Island.” I also learned that escaping the island was possible through teleportation, so naturally, that became my main goal this time.
I went into this session thinking I could finish the teleport quest in about an hour... yeah, that didn’t happen. 😅
Things started off rough with a few deaths along the way, but eventually, I managed to find the teleport platform. I was feeling pretty confident at that point and even bound my character to it, only to realize I had been given the wrong information. Instead of teleporting me out, I learned that I actually needed to bind to a location outside the island first. That’s when things got more complicated.
To leave the island, I was told I needed to locate four obelisks scattered around the area. So, the real mission began. I managed to find the first obelisk and carefully wrote down its coordinates for future reference. Three more to go!
Along the way, I also ran into a stranded woman on the island. Interestingly, she liked bones... so I gave her some as gifts. It’s one of those weird but fun moments that makes Project Gorgon so unique.
On the bright side, not everything was a struggle. I picked up some awesome upgrades, including a cool set of plate armor and a nice pair of boots. I also switched up my combat style, from unarmed fighting to using a sword and shield, which made a big difference in survivability.
Even though I didn’t escape the island in this session, I made solid progress. Next time, the goal is clear: find all four obelisks and finally get out of this place!
