x2 Fishing Frenzy with 106 Avatars in Second Life
I went back to The Notorious Kingdom Tiny Empires for some x2 Virtual Fishing, and wow, I wasn’t expecting that crowd.
When I arrived, the region was absolutely packed. There were four Virtual Fishing buoys, and all of them were running x2. That alone is enough to pull in a crowd, but when I checked the region stats, there were 106 avatars there, and every single one of them was fishing. It honestly felt like a massive virtual fishing festival.
One thing about this place: there’s always an x2 Virtual Fishing event happening. The land owners are incredibly generous, regularly giving away Linden Dollars, which keeps people coming back. You can really feel that community energy when everyone’s lined up along the water casting at the same time.
Before I even hit the 30-minute mark, a fishing contest announcement popped up in the 7Seas Fishing Group chat. I wasn’t planning to compete at first, but I figured why not? Before heading over, I switched my avatar from female to male just for a change of vibe.
The contest was being held at TRF Ministries, so I teleported over and joined in. My catch rate was actually pretty good, I was pulling fish consistently, but there was one problem: they were all low-point fish. Anyone who’s done 7Seas contests knows that steady catches don’t always mean high scores.
As the timer counted down, I kept hoping for a big point catch, but it never really happened. With about five minutes left, I made the decision to stop casting. No point burning through bait if the leaderboard wasn’t within reach. Sometimes strategy means knowing when to step back.
Even though I didn’t place, it was still a fun session. Between the packed region, the x2 buoys, and the spontaneous contest, it turned into a much more exciting stream than I expected. That’s the thing about Second Life fishing, you never quite know what kind of crowd or competition you’re going to walk into.
