Skyrim Legendary Edition in 2025: Recruited Jenassa and Carlotta / A Sexier Leather Armor
Hey everyone! Today, I jumped back into the amazing world of Skyrim Legendary Edition. Yup, not the Special Edition or Anniversary Edition—this is the old-school Legendary Edition, and honestly, I love it because of all the awesome mods I’ve got installed. Let me tell you what went down during my latest adventure in Tamriel!
Whiterun Under Attack!
So, when I left off last time, Whiterun had been attacked by Volkihar Master Vampire. This guy was no joke—I must’ve died at least a hundred times trying to take him down. (Okay, maybe not that many, but it felt like it!) After a frustrating but epic battle, I finally beat him. My character leveled up to Level 11 in the process.
The aftermath was kind of sad, though. Several Whiterun guards had died during the attack. I looted their cloaks because, well... Skyrim logic. Uthgerd the Unbroken, my companion, got one of the cloaks too. Whiterun may have been a bit of a mess, but Adrianne Avenicci, the town blacksmith, was back at work like nothing happened. I stopped by her forge and picked up a Dwarven Warhammer and an Orcish Bow—both big upgrades for me. The warhammer deals a massive 35 damage, but it’s super heavy. Totally worth it.
Meet Jenassa, My New Teammate
After the vampire attack, I decided it was time to expand my squad. I headed to the Drunken Huntsman, the inn in Whiterun, and hired Jenassa, a Dunmer mercenary. For 500 septims, she joined my team, so now it’s me, Jenassa, and Uthgerd traveling together. Power trio, anyone?
A Letter from Falkreath
While exiting the Drunken Huntsman, a Courier appeared and I got a letter from Jarl Siddgeir of Falkreath. He wants me to come visit him, saying he’s impressed by my “exploits” and offering me the chance to become Thane of Falkreath Hold. If I accept, I’ll get a housecarl (basically a personal bodyguard) and the option to buy land to build my own house. Sounds cool, but I’ll save that for later. For now, I’ve got other things to do.
Clearing Out a Bandit Camp
After licking my wounds from the giant encounter, I continued with my unfinished quest: clearing out a bandit camp. It was part of a miscellaneous quest, but it still felt good to complete something. The bandit boss—a marauder—put up a decent fight, but my squad and I took her down. I looted a leather armor from one of the bandits, which turned out to be better than what I was wearing, so I swapped it out. I also found a cool Lunar Iron Mace that deals extra damage at night. Not bad for a side quest!
Experimenting with Mods
One of the reasons I love the Legendary Edition is the mods. Here’s what I played around with today:
- Remodeled Armor: I crafted new leather armor at the forge, which gave it a fresh look. Same stats as the old armor, but it looks way cooler.
- Large Leather Tent: This is a camping mod that lets me set up a big tent for my squad. It’s perfect for long journeys.
- The Hypercube: This mod adds a portable storage cube that I can carry around. It’s super helpful for storing all the extra loot I don’t want to sell or drop.
Mods like these make Skyrim feel fresh, even after all these years!
Other Random Moments
- I tried selling items to Carlotta at the market, but she only buys food and produce. Guess I’ll have to sell my loot elsewhere.
- I gave Jenassa my Iron Handgun. I was hoping she’d use it, but she’s still sticking to her sword. Oh well.
- I’m thinking about recruiting an elf from Dragonsreach to join my squad. Based on her robes, she might be a mage or priest. We’ll see!
What I Learned Today
This session reminded me that Skyrim is all about the journey, not the destination. Sure, I didn’t achieve anything groundbreaking, but I still had a blast. Whether it’s upgrading my gear, fighting tough enemies, or just wandering around Whiterun, Skyrim always pulls me in. It’s crazy how time flies when you’re immersed in this world.
What’s Next?
- I might head to Falkreath to see what Jarl Siddgeir wants.
- I want to keep leveling up my conjuration magic so I can actually raise an undead army, NOT!
- I’ll keep looting, exploring, and upgrading my loadout. Maybe I’ll even tackle a dragon soon!
Final Thoughts
If you’re still playing Skyrim in 2025 like I am, you know how timeless this game is. Even after all these years, it’s still one of the best. Whether you’re clearing out a bandit camp, crafting armor, or just enjoying the scenery, there’s always something to do.
