Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 - Major Update or Epic Fail?

Star Citizen Alpha 3.18 is still facing issues and the developers are working hard to fix them. However, there is some hopeful news for players. Alpha 3.18.1, which is being referred to as a "fixer-upper" patch for the Persistent Universe, has begun a public testing round for this weekend.

The patch aims to address issues related to performance, connectivity, and stability. The developers have asked for as many testers as possible to help put the patch through its paces during specific testing hours over the weekend. It should be noted that fully deploying patch 3.18.1 will require a full server wipe, so players should prepare for that.

While progress is being made, there is still work to be done on a 30009 error code that is preventing players from entering the game. The developers are zeroing in on this issue, but no updates have been shared at the time of this writing.

In other news, the most recent Star Citizen Live broadcast featured several developers from the Montreal studio who discussed the progress on underground facilities. However, the broadcast also included four minutes of weirdness and a discussion with someone who hires and fires talent. Players can watch the entire broadcast or opt for a summary from The Noobifier.

Despite the ongoing challenges, the developers remain committed to addressing the issues in Star Citizen and providing players with the best possible gaming experience. As always, they are grateful for the community's support and feedback as they work towards resolving the current issues and improving the game overall.
