Skyrim Special Edition » Unbound

Ahh yes, the Unbound quest in Skyrim Special Edition. It's the moment when you, the Dragonborn, finally get to break free from those pesky annoying blades and start your journey as a true dragon-slaying, wizard-casting, arrow-shooting hero. Or so you thought.

Here's what really happens when you embark on the Unbound quest:

• You walk into the blades' hideout ready to kick some butt, only to realize that you're actually going to be the butt being kicked.
• The first person you meet is Ralof, who greets you with the classic line "Hey, you there! You're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."
• And that thief over there is none other than the infamous Hadvar, who insists on playing the good guy. Can't a thief catch a break?
• After getting your butt handed to you by the Imperials, you find yourself in a cage with Hadvar and Ralof. It's like a buddy comedy, except one of you is trying to kill the other.
• You finally escape and are given the choice to follow Hadvar or Ralof. And the real decision-making begins. Do you go with the fancy pants Imperial or the rough and tough rebel?

So there you have it, folks! The Unbound quest in all its glory. Just remember, whether you choose Hadvar or Ralof, you'll still end up slaying dragons and saving the world. No pressure, just the fate of Tamriel on the line.
