Shroud of the Avatar / Catnip Games LLC don't need your MONEY! |
Spending money in Shroud of the Avatar is like breathing for many players of the game but, remember, you don't have to spend money to play the game because it's free-to-play. It's okay to not have everything in the land of virtues.
Speaking of money, it seems Shroud of the Avatar or Catnip Games LLC is no longer in need of money which is a very good news because they can now hire additional personnel to help them develop and provide customer support for the game.

You see, in a recent post by the Community Manager in the Shroud of the Avatar forum, it was clearly stated those who deposited $500 US Dollars for a New Player Owned Town or POT in the new lands are no longer required to pay the full amount.
The full amount for the smallest POT is $900 US Dollars. Deducting the deposit of $500 US Dollars, a balance of $400 US Dollars remains but Catnip Games LLC is no longer collecting which means the POT is now paid in full.
The only reason I see why Catnip Games LLC is doing this is because they are no longer in need of money. They must have found new sources of money to fund the development and the day to day expense of running a live service game.
Not worrying about money is a very good thing. I wish I could say the same thing for myself but I digress. Waiving $20,000 US Dollars from new POT owners is a sign of good financial health. Hey, maybe those bits from cheers in Twitch are working very well for Shroud of the Avatar.
So guys, have any of you ever thought of owning your very own town in a live service game? If you have then how much are you willing to pay for one? Post your answers as well as your comments, questions or reactions in the comments section below.
