APEX LEGENDS NEWS [v3] Ninja Paid 1 Million, Speedhacker Caught & Reconnect Feature Not Planned
Ninja got paid 1 million US Dollars, Speedhacker caught in a livestream and the reconnect feature is not planned. All of that are in today's Apex Legends News!
1 MILLION US DOLLARS
1 Million US Dollars is a lot of money and, honestly, it's something I would never make in a lifetime unless something really life changing happens like maybe winning a lottery.
But for popular gaming livestreamers like Ninja, 1 Million US Dollars is just something he gets paid with for playing games like Apex Legends and this story is all over the internet right now.
Various gaming websites are reporting about it. For example, according to Engadget, "EA paid Ninja (aka Tyler Blevins) a cool $1 million to play the game on February 5th".
The same was also said in the story posted by PC Gamer, "Ninja was paid $1 million for his time" and that is a freaking expensive time. Obviously, EA can afford it and it's a perfectly well executed marketing strategy.
If you have a game and you want gamers to play it then paying popular gaming livestreamers like Ninja makes a lot of sense because it will bring in thousands of eyeballs and interest to your game.
SPEEDHACKER CAUGHT
Speedhacking in any games specially online games is cheating and it seems that there are Apex Legends players who are doing this in the game. Why? I guess because they can?
Anyway, I don't really know how Speedhacking works or how it's done in Apex Legends but an Apex Legends player was caught speedhacking in a livestream.
According to a story posted in Dot Esports, "Popular Twitch streamer, Trainwreckstv, was playing Apex Legends when an opposing player zoomed past him and his team".
The posted story also has a video clip of the speedhacker in action. Watch the video clip and be amazed at how fast the speedhacker's character was moving across the screen or in the game.
RECONNECT NOT PLANNED
Getting disconnected in Apex Legends while in a match is not an ideal situation but sometimes it happens and there's really nothing you can do about it.
In some games, players are allowed to reconnect back to the match and continue playing but this is not going to happen or it's something not planned for Apex Legends.
According to a story posted in GameSpot, "the team isn't pursuing it for two key reasons. The first is that a reconnect feature is very easy for unscrupulous players to abuse, presumably by intentionally disconnecting to avoid a death and then reconnecting to the match right afterwards. The second reason is simply that implementing the feature would be resource-intensive, and Respawn feels that energy is better spent on stability improvements to avoid disconnects in the first place."
So guys, what are your thoughts on EA paying Ninja 1 Million US Dollars to play Apex Legends? Have you seen an Apex Legends speedhacker in the game? Will Apex Legends players really abuse the reconnect feature if added in the game? Post your answers as well as your comments, questions or reactions in the comments section below.
