Second Life Celestial Butterfly Eggs: Lucky 45 Linden Dollar Find!

So I was out doing a bit of butterfly hunting in Second Life using my Celestial Butterfly, just casually grinding and enjoying the moment, when I stumbled onto something that made me do a double take.

While browsing around, I found not one but two Celestial Butterfly Companion Eggs up for sale. Now, if you’ve been around the Second Life marketplace or community long enough, you already know these kinds of items don’t usually come cheap. We’re talking thousands of Linden Dollars in many cases.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

These two eggs were priced at just 45 Linden Dollars each. Yep, you read that right.

Naturally, I had to check the stats. The first egg came with +4 XP and +10% value, which means every time I go butterfly hunting, I earn an extra 4 XP plus get a 10% boost in Linden Dollar value. That’s already a solid bonus.

The second egg? Even better in some ways. It had +4 XP, -9% timer, and +8% value. So not only do I get the same XP boost, but my hunt timer is reduced by 9%, letting me hunt faster, and I still get an 8% increase in value. That’s a pretty sweet combination if you’re actively farming.

At that price, there was no hesitation. I grabbed both immediately.

Now the big question is, did I just get insanely lucky?

Honestly, it really feels like I did. Deals like this don’t show up often, especially for items with useful stat boosts like these. It could have been a pricing mistake, someone clearing inventory, or just one of those rare moments where you’re in the right place at the right time.

Either way, it’s a reminder to always keep your eyes open when exploring Second Life. You never know when you’ll come across a hidden gem that others might have missed.
