Back to Project Gorgon After Years - A Fresh Start Adventure!
Hey guys,
I just jumped back into Project Gorgon after many, many years, and it honestly feels like reconnecting with an old, forgotten adventure. The last time I played was way back when the game was still in alpha. Unfortunately, I lost access when it became a paid title, so that was the end of that... until now.
Thanks to Keymailer, I finally got my hands on a Steam key. I quickly claimed it, downloaded the game, and got straight into playing. Right away, I created a new character and started exploring like a complete beginner again.
Most of my time in this one-hour session was spent on the newbie island, and yes, there were a LOT of skeletons involved. I basically turned the beach into my personal grinding zone, taking down skeleton after skeleton while picking up tons of loot along the way.
I also focused on leveling up some early skills. My unarmed combat improved quite a bit thanks to all that skeleton fighting, and I even spent time fishing, well, technically catching crabs, to level up my fishing skill. It’s a slow but satisfying grind, and it adds to the charm of the game.
On top of that, I talked to a few NPCs to understand what I should be doing next. I even learned how to eventually leave the newbie island, which is now my goal for the next session.
Overall, it was a fun and nostalgic return to Project Gorgon. It’s still got that unique, old-school MMORPG feel, and I’m excited to explore more of what it has to offer.
Next time, I’ll try to finally get off the newbie island and see what the wider world looks like.
