Ancient Farm - A Fun Farming & Building Game in Ancient Egypt (But Check Your PC First!)

I recently came across a farming and building game called Ancient Farm on Keymailer, and I was actually pre-approved to claim it, which was awesome! Without hesitation, I grabbed it right away. I mean, a game set in ancient Egypt where you plant, farm, gather resources and build homes? That’s totally my kind of game.

I’ve always enjoyed games where you collect materials, craft items, and slowly build up your own little world. So from the moment I saw Ancient Farm, I already had a good feeling I was going to enjoy it. That excitement alone was enough reason for me to claim the game and redeem the Steam key.

After claiming it on Steam, I was ready to jump in and start playing. But things didn’t go as planned.

As soon as I launched the game, my PC started struggling, big time. My CPU and GPU usage shot up, and the temperatures climbed higher than I was comfortable with. That’s never a good sign. I quickly went into the settings and lowered everything to the lowest possible graphics options, hoping it would fix the issue.

Unfortunately, it barely helped.

At that point, I decided to stop the game before I did any serious damage to my PC. That’s when I realized I made the same mistake I always make when I get excited about a new game, I didn’t check the system requirements first.

So, I finally looked them up, and sure enough, my PC was below the minimum requirements. Lesson learned... again.

It’s honestly a bit disappointing because Ancient Farm really looks like a game I would enjoy. The concept, the setting, and the gameplay loop all seem right up my alley. But without the proper hardware, I just can’t run it properly without risking my system.

If you’re into farming, crafting, and building games, especially with a unique ancient Egypt theme, then this is definitely something worth checking out on Steam. Just make sure your PC can handle it before diving in.
