Is the Magic Fishing Deluxe Rod Worth It? A Chill Second Life Fishing Stream

If you’ve ever spent time in Second Life, you probably know that fishing with Magic Fishing is one of those relaxing side activities that can quietly earn you Linden Dollars while you just hang out.

In my latest livestream, I headed over to the x2 Magic Fishing event at ~Timeless~ Love is Timeless. Multiplier events are where the real earnings happen. If you’re serious about making extra Linden Dollars from fishing, this is honestly the best strategy — focus on x2 or higher events and don’t waste too much time on regular spots.

I used my Magic Fishing Deluxe Fishing Rod, which I bought a long time ago. To be completely honest, I still don’t know if it gives any meaningful advantage. Maybe it does. Maybe it’s just cosmetic. If you’re thinking about upgrading, I’d say only do it if you really enjoy fishing regularly.

During the stream, I also talked about something important: withdraw your Linden Dollars often. You never know what might happen. Games can disappear. Systems can shut down. If you’re letting your earnings just sit there, you’re taking a risk.

Another quick tip: if you get a Magic Fishing Potion, use it immediately. They expire after 10 minutes. I’ve seen people forget and waste them. Don’t let that bonus go to waste.

The stream also drifted into some old memories from when I used to livestream Second Life wrestling. At one point, a group of avatars started streaming too — which is totally fine — but for some reason they began reporting my YouTube videos. I never really understood why. It was one of those weird internet moments that just makes you shake your head and move on.

I also mentioned the Voodoo Ban List situation I once got caught up in for simply being part of the Greenzone group. The only way to get removed was by filling out a form that basically required doxxing yourself. That was a hard no from me.

All in all, it was a laid-back fishing session with a few lessons mixed in. Fish smart. Use your boosts quickly. Withdraw often. And focus on multiplier events if you want the best returns. 🎣
