🎣 Bearded Lady Fishing & 108L$ Surprise at Stress Free (Second Life Livestream Recap)

If you think fishing is all action and excitement, you’ve clearly never tried it in Second Life.

In this livestream, I headed to the x2 Virtual Fishing event at Stress Free, where I basically stood in one spot... and waited. That’s it. That’s the gameplay. 😄

Stress Free had four Virtual Fishing buoys, and I parked myself at one of them to chase boosted Linden Dollar payouts. Fishing in Second Life is oddly similar to real life, lots of waiting, hoping, and staring into the digital void. The only difference? No blazing Sun, no bug spray, and no leaving your chair.

If you actually want animated fish and more immersive gameplay, try 7Seas Fishing Game. Many other systems, Alienum, Fish Hunt, Magic Fishing, Superfish, Virtual Fishing, Celestial Butterfly, practically share the same mechanics. Different branding, similar concept. It really comes down to presentation and preference. That got me wondering: is Xundra Fishing more popular than 7Seas these days?

I also still own Neorealms Fishing... but I haven’t touched it in ages. Maybe one day.

The stream took a fun turn when “Tapiring off my bad habits” tipped me 108L$ — huge thanks! He was actually a viewer who logged into Second Life and joined me in-world for a bit... as a tapir. Yes, a full tapir avatar. Only in Second Life. 🐗

We chatted about Roblox, gaming culture, and some of the more controversial aspects of child avatars in Second Life, something I’m personally not a fan of. After Tapir logged off, a giant squirrel casually walked past me. Completely normal day in SL, right?

I also showed off my Fallout-style Pip-Boy and talked about finishing the solo ending of Fallout: New Vegas. Still haven’t completed Fallout 4 though, settlement building keeps distracting me.

Meanwhile, Second Life lagged... of course. Even with just a few avatars around. If it’s not lagging, is it even SL?

Oh, and my female avatar now has a beard. It looks weird. I love it.

That’s Second Life fishing: slow, strange, occasionally profitable... and never boring.
