Thanks to Keymailer! I Claimed Survivalist: Invisible Strain – Will I Play It? Of course!

I was given a free game key for Survivalist: Invisible Strain through Keymailer. I actually received both a Steam and an Xbox key. The Xbox key was claimed by accident—I thought it was another Steam key, but I only realized it was for Xbox after redeeming it. Luckily, I still got a Steam key too!

I haven’t played the game yet—just claimed the key—but I wanted to share what the game is about in case it sounds interesting to you.

🎮 What is Survivalist: Invisible Strain?

Survivalist: Invisible Strain is an open-world zombie survival and colony-building game. It’s often compared to games like State of Decay, Project Zomboid, RimWorld, Kenshi, and even The Sims—but with zombies.

Here’s what it offers:

🧍 You Can Talk to Anyone

Every character has a name, personality, and memory. They remember how you treat them, which changes how they react to you. They live their own lives—eating, sleeping, gossiping, working, and fighting. Some give quests, and you decide how to handle them—nicely, violently, sneakily, or cleverly.

👥 You Can Recruit Anyone

Win people over with kindness, fear, or respect. Once they join you, you’ll need to keep them fed, warm, and safe. They can become sad, fight, fall in love, or bond with you or others in your group.

🛠️ You Can Build and Survive

Gather resources, hunt, farm, scavenge, and build your own base. Assign jobs like Farmer or Crafter and slowly turn your camp into a strong, self-sufficient community—even making your own bullets.

🧑 You Can Be Anyone

Create and customize your character’s appearance, gear, skills, and personality. Traits affect how people talk to you and what dialogue options you get.

⚔️ You Can Fight Anyone

Fight in third-person or top-down strategy view. Aim for the head or legs, dodge attacks, and master melee and ranged weapons. Train your skills to become stronger.

🧟 You Can Kill Anyone

Use stealth to sneak up on enemies or distract zombies with noise. Wear camouflage, watch wind direction to avoid being smelled, and use infected weapons or vehicles to your advantage.

😱 But You Can’t Trust Anyone

Beware the Invisible Strain—a hidden version of the virus that turns people into zombies without warning. Infected characters seem normal... until it’s too late.

🎮 Game Modes

• Story Mode: A focused story where you try to build a safe community in Moose Valley.
• Sandbox Mode: A randomly generated world where every playthrough is different.
• Steam Workshop: A strong modding scene with tons of content from the community.
• Online Co-op: Survive with up to 4 friends in any mode.
