New World Heating Up CPU and GPU (Gaming)
Yesterday, I was able to play this new MMORPG from Amazon called New World for a little over an hour after waiting almost an entire day in queue.
I wanted to play longer but I had to stop because New World was heating up both my CPU and GPU. I was getting an average temperature of over 60 degrees Celsius on both my CPU and GPU.
60 degrees Celsius was not very high but I had to stop playing New World when it suddenly spiked to over 70 degrees Celsius even if it was just for a very brief moment.
Temperatures of 60 to 70 degrees Celsius were far from cooking my CPU or GPU but I had to take precautions because I don't usually get temperatures as high as 60 to 70 degrees Celsius.
The last time I had 70 degrees was when my CPU fan stopped spinning on my previous over 10 year old computer.
By the way, my graphics setting in New World was set to LOW and that was the lowest graphics setting. If I could set it lower to reduce my CPU and GPU temperatures then I would but that was not the case.
Usually, my CPU and GPU temperatures when playing games like GTA5 in high graphics setting are around 45 to 55 degrees Celsius. The only time I would get 60 degrees Celsius on my CPU when I'm encoding a video.
So guys, are your CPU and GPU temperatures also increasing above your usual levels when playing New World? Post your answers, as well as your comments, questions or reactions in the comments section below.
