Restream.io Tutorial ★ How To Add Restream.io In OBS

Hey guys! My name is Kabalyero and welcome back to another Restream.io Tutorial. This time I'm going to show you how to add Restream.io or add your Restream.io stream key in OBS.

So guys, in my previous Restream.io Tutorials, I showed you how to create a new Restream.io account and add your Twitch.tv and YouTube Live Stream in Restream.io.

This time I'm going to show you how to add Restream.io or your Restream.io Stream Key in OBS. Why OBS? Well, it's the program I use to record and stream my videos. It's also free and it's very easy to use.

As always, the first thing you need to do is go to Restream.io and login to your Restream.io account using your e-mail address and password.

In your Restream.io Dashboard, you will see the channels you added in your Restream.io account like, for example, Twitch.tv and YouTube Live Stream.

Now, looking at the right side of your Restream.io Dashboard, you will find a sidebar and this is where you will find and get your Restream.io RTMP URL and Stream Key.

To get your Restream.io RTMP URL and Stream Key, simply click on Select The Server to open a drop down list of all available Restream.io servers.

From the list of Restream.io servers, choose the one closest to you or the one you like to show it's RTMP URL as well as your Restream.io Stream Key.

Remember, never ever share your Restream.io Stream Key to anyone because if you do then they will be able to use it to broadcast to your Restream.io channels and you wouldn't like that.

Now that you have your Restream.io RTMP URL and Stream Key, open or run OBS if you already have it installed and setup but, if not then go to OBS's website, download it, install it and run it.

open or run OBS if you already have it installed and setup

With OBS opened and running, click on the Settings button to open the Settings Window and click on Broadcast Settings to open it's configuration.

As you can see from this screenshot, the mode is set to Live Stream and the Streaming Service is set to Custom.

For the FMS URL, copy your Restream.io RTMP URL and paste it in the FMS URL Field and for the Play Path/Stream Key, copy your Restream.io Stream Key and paste it in the Play Path/Stream Key field.

Click on the OK button to save your new OBS Restream.io Live Stream and, after that you can start Live Streaming to your Restream.io Channels through OBS.

Of course, you can further optimize or fine tune your Restream.io Live Stream settings in OBS by changing or updating some of it's configurations but that is entirely up to you.

If you want to know more about configuring or setting up OBS for Live Streaming then just go to its website. The link is in the description of this video.

So, have you started streaming to multiple channels using Restream.io? If you have then how was your experience with it? Post your answers as well as your comments, questions or reactions in the comments section below.
