Ragnarok Online 2 to more players. As far as I know, WarpPortal is still the one hosting and publishing the game.
As a Partnered Game, Aeria Games players can now use their Aeria Games account to login to Ragnarok Online 2. What does this mean to players who are from blocked countries? I have no freaking idea but, as a player from a blocked country, I was able to login and play Ragnarok Online 2 using my Aeria Games account.
I've already tried playing in WarpPortal's Ragnarok Online 2 server before but the attempt was a complete and utter failure. It was expected though because I was connecting from a blocked country. I had no choice but to uninstall WarpPortal's Ragnarok Online 2 game from my computer.
When Aeria Games announced its partnership with Gravity, I immediately downloaded and installed the game. Launching the game also launched Aeria Ignite where I launched the Ragnarok Online 2's game launcher.
After the long patching process, I clicked on the Start Button, logged-in to the game using my Aeria Games account and, after a few minutes, I was already in the game playing.
This is a great news for us Ragnarok Online 2 fans here in the Philippines. Why? Because, we can now easily play the game without going through the hassles of running a VPN, or Hotspot Shield, or WTFast to bypass the country block.
Hopefully, this ability to access and play Ragnarok Online 2 via Aeria Games is not just a temporary thing. Because if it's just temporary or just something they missed then it would SUCK big time!
